The latter is just some more dumb fun. I praise you for having the wherewithal to get into one piece. I just can’t watch 1000+ episodes of one anime without it getting old. I’ve strangely never heard of blockade battlefront, but i do know gurren lagan. I can relate to the manga/manhwa over anime too. Reading just lets me go at my own pace, and i can stop reading when i want. Doesn’t really feel rhe same with anime.
