They would be more in favor actually - they now seem themselves as targeted and so the war is saving them.

      1. They aren’t asking for consent to attack orc huts
      2. Attacks on civilians typically, and counter-intuitively, increase support for a war

Ukraine is smart and will stick to destroying russia’s ability to wage war, not the people.

let’s not start terror bombing. T the ones responsible and all their wealthy friends sit in Moscow, and they care little for their citizens in the hinterlands

It causes a little uptick in the defeatist sentiments, but not that big even in Belgorod. Monopoly over media does it’s thing. Since the fall of Wagner, even Kursk hasn’t caused that level of confusion.

He isn’t the one responsible, but I can see his henchmen being more comfortable without that.

Just because Russia is doing it doesn’t mean it’s fine for Ukraine to do it too. Bad guys target civilians.

Targeting civillians is well known to cause civillians to become more supportive of war and so is a bad idea. You target the military and make the war seem like a lot of senseless deaths to civilians who eventually realize they have to pay for it but don’t see any gains.

Intentionally targeting civilians isn’t war, it’s a war crime and it’s terrorism. Ukraine has nothing to gain by committing war crimes and everything to lose, such as support from their allies and thus, the war.
