"Every inch of wall space is covered by a bookcase. Each bookcase has six shelves, going almost to the ceiling. Some bookshelves are stacked to the brim with hardback books: science, maths, history, and everything else. Other shelves have two layers of paperback science fiction, with the back layer of books propped up on old tissue boxes or lengths of wood, so that you can see the back layer of books above the books in front. And it still isn’t enough. Books are overflowing onto the tables and the sofas and making little heaps under the windows.
This is the living-room of the house occupied by the eminent Professor Michael Verres-Evans, and his wife, Mrs. Petunia Evans-Verres, and their adopted son, Harry James Potter-Evans-Verres.
There is a letter lying on the living-room table, and an unstamped envelope of yellowish parchment, addressed to Mr. H. Potter in emerald-green ink."

Cool! I’ve heard of Methods of Rationality but never read it.
Also, is it time to start growing [email protected]?
I would maybe stick to this community until we get more traction
I think so too. Its hard to gain any traction beside memes.
I hope the Lemmy developer quickly implement disabling images as a admin option, so one can at least see other images on this instance. Maybe then some people join the instance and it gets on join-lemmy.org
It’s definitely worth it.
Trying out something new … feel free to comment what you think of posting fanfiction chapters once in a while here
Not a bad idea in general I think.
Oddly enough, this is the story that got me into fanfiction around a decade ago, though I never read the final chapters (which hadn’t been posted yet - I read all that was available at the time).
Glad to hear it, maybe you have then now the time to finish it ;)
I do, in theory, have the time to finish it now. However, I’ve been a little bored with the HP fandom in the last couple of years and have been primarily reading stories in the GoT/ASOIAF universe. If you look at my bookmarked works on ao3, it’s at least 95% stories in either the book or show universe.
That’s fine of course. GoT has become especially interesting with the House of the Dragon installment. Probably that also had an effect on fanfiction.
What’s ao3?
ao3 is the site Archive of Our Own. It’s not quite as big as FanFiction.Net (FFN) but I like it more.
