I assume lower class people will as well. But voting over the economy is an emotional thing not a practical one. It’s a result of the two Santa tactic causing people to associate republicans with economic prosperity (of the same variety experienced by a fool with their first credit card and no job to spend their time with) and democrats with the unpleasantness of the economic slump this makes and the long term sound tactics that aren’t fun in the moment but do work
