After using a Das Keyboard for many years, I can’t go back to any keyboard that doesn’t have a volume wheel.

      Das so good.

Jokes aside I’ve got two. I did the Kickstarter one and it died before either of my old two stopped working.

Good shit. I’ve been using mine for so long and so hard that a couple of the keycaps crumbled. Replaced them with a new set and it’s still going strong, even with a couple spills.

No current keyboards with a knob (next one, though…). That said, my goofy little Class D amp has a wide flat volume knob mounted on the top instead of the front, so yes, OP, I know the feeling.

Mechanical keyboard users are synth lovers that don’t realize it yet. Want to spend a lot of money on a niche interfacing device with tons knobs, buttons and faders that other people will look at, and then say “Oh cool I guess,” but will have you simultaneously praised and ridiculed on the internet for your choice? That’s synths baby!

I avoid keyboards with the rotary knobs since I always use an amp and audio interface, but I get the vibe. All the knobs and dials make me feel like one of those sound mixer guys.
