This is the most impressive presidential mug shot that I’ve ever come across.

Same. Show me any other presidential mugshot that is more impressive than this. One. Trick question, you can’t. This is simply the best mugshot there ever was, people say it all the time, they say this is literally the best mugshot that could be done, and they said that it couldn’t be done, but he did it. You simply can’t do a better mugshot than this I’m telling you.

He will milk this picture to no end. It will be a major rallying point for his supporters and it will sell merch worth millions of dollars to help fund his law suits and reelection campaign.

The defense against this is for someone else to sell T-shirts with the mugshot that says “surrendered.”

Yup, I actually think it was a mistake releasing it. As far as mugshots go he somehow turned it completely around to his advantage. As much as I don’t like the man I have to admit he has an impressive ability to maintain his persona.

To us maybe he doesn’t look so good but to his supporters this is a win. I can even see people being emboldened, committing crimes and going to jail proudly now because they’ll be just like their idol.

I’m not an American. Is there an outcome here that would not allow trump to run as president in the next election?

Not an American either, but my understanding is the only thing that could prevent him from running is if enough state officials declare him ineligible under the 14th amendment, which bans people from holding office if they have taken part or aided in an insurrection against the United States. It’s pretty obvious he has, but will any state officials actually argue that? Probably not.

I think everyone is just hoping he doesn’t get enough votes.

Indict a clown, expect a circus. He’s already broken his release conditions. He’s going to jail, then he’s going to prison.

But there were already two other posts in this community. Is there something this article adds that the other two didn’t cover?

“A first for any US president”… I am actually surprised Trump didn’t use that line himself on Xwitter
