Cooking to death has probably happened more, but pressing to death without heat has to be second or third in the list of food-preparation-related ways to kill people. “Chopping-up” has to be first, though.

    2. Cooking (baking/boiling, etc)
    3. Cold pressing

    and then somewhere way down would be hot-pressing.
