Well wait no longer: Because Lemmy is small. posts that would have gone to a vibrant niche subreddit in Reddit, instead get posted to one of the few large communities, because the niche communities don’t exist, are hard to find, or are dead.

So there is a Japanese condom brand called Kimono. They are one of the thinnest (latex) condoms in the world. The dispenser also says about thin so maybe that’s it.
Though since they don’t list brand, perhaps you are right, or they rely on people hearing something about it, but not knowing the brand and instead selling them some cheap chinese crap from alibaba.
That’s mostly it. Mince in french could be translated to either slim or thin in english, and I believe it’s the later in that situation.

A lot of conflict can be resolved by reading something carefully. I never judged you for anything, I said, it seems like you are that kind of person. Based on your reaction I stand by my point. I sincerely hope that you are a nicer person in real life as my picture of you.
My problem with your post does not concern you on a personal level. It’s more that you know, that your content is in the wrong community. You even state that in your post description. Idk why you think this has to be black and white. I know it’s not the ideal community for my post. But I could not find an appropriate (living) community for it. While Lemmy is small, I think we all need to give a little leeway about perfectly matching the criteria for a community.

I don’t think it’s racist. But I’m not asian. Penis size does matter what buying condoms. On the average Asian penises are a bit smaller so the need a different size of condom. Rather than having to buy a ‘small’ condom they can buy an average Asian size. Most women don’t mind a smaller penis when the guy attached to it know how to work it so I think it’s fine.
The advert, translated from french says “Ultra-THIN asian condom”. “Mince” means thin in French (I’m from Quebec). It has nothing to do with the size of it, it’s the thickness.
Asian massage techniques/oils are all the rage in the sex world. Prostitution is legal in the form of “escorts” you can hire as companions, and the loop-hole is “what 2 adults do in the privacy of their home/hotel, isn’t regulated by the government”. This spawn “erotic massage parlors” that claim to not do any fucking but just “sensual massages” as in a commercial building that would be illegal (they still totally do).
This is trying to appeal to that demographic and isn’t racist; Asia is known for this stuff, at least here. Btw “Mince” and “Minced” as in Minced-meat share the same origin in latin for “smallness”, but in french does not mean that.

If the weird thing about the post to you is that these exist, yes it’s common in quebec for all washrooms to have a mix of shitty breath mints, seggsy stuff and hygiene products. They’ve been there as long as gumball machines. Often the crummier the place the more likely you are to see them, especially in 2023.

It’s not uncommon to pass by a parlor in downtown montreal offering “asian massages”. It adds up, people all over the world, but especially NA associate sex with the orient all the time, like the Kamasutra.

What are you talking about? The very first comment at the top of this chain explain it does not say small dick; it says thin condom. Also these machines were all over, like gumballs and cigarette machines, rural or not. They put condoms across the board because that’s what sells the most on average (rural or urbain). It’s also more likely to see those in rural/old places because they haven’t renovated in 50 years or bothered taking them down.
The rest of my comments are based on that. There’s nothing racist about selling a highly sensitive condom from asia, like there’s nothing wrong with american bbq sauce, french bread and italian pasta. Asian massage oils/penis pills/sex positions/massage techniques etc… are a worlwide stereotype / cultural association

If they’re trying to say they are small condoms then what’s the issue with that? On average Asian penises are smaller. Statistics aren’t exactly racist.
Even if it were true that Asian penises are smaller on average, to call small penises “Asian” is racist.
It’s like even if white people were dumber on average, it’d be racist to call all dumb people “white”.
Or even if men were fatter on average, it’d be sexist to call all fat people “men”.
But it’s not just that one. ALL of the items are bizarre for a basement washroom of a rural Quebec gas station.
