@unitedkingdom I did this by including ‘[email protected]’ as an @
@unitedkingdom You can also follow communities and people on #Lemmy from mastodon.
To do so you copy the url into the search on #mastodon
You can also do this to reply to posts.
…so does a post get created here, if i just tag it up ?
very cool - but… could get a bit busy, if a new post easy is created so trivially easy ?
I’m predominately a Mastodon user and I create lists.
So for example I have a list for ‘[email protected]’ and when new stuff gets published to that community it populates my list :)
@PragmaticOne @doublejay3000 LISTS! I forgot about that! thanks for the tip!
Your welcome :D
@doublejay3000 Honestly I am unsure how it all works. I think the post is created on the mastodon server i am on then pushes it to the place you tag. Maybe its a cross post?
I’m still unsure if using the one account over many fediverse service is really workable. I know people are working on more support between lemmy and mastodon but right now it is a little bit janky.
@TedWard @unitedkingdom Nice! Hopefully Mastodon can be a viable way to both explore and interact Lemmy for people who would prefer that.
Just tried this myself with my Mastodon and can confirm that I can reply to you!
@TedWard I’m reading this on kbin.social, having subscribed to community on Feddit. My little brain is struggling - but I like it.
That’s an incredibly cool feature. It’s even possible to view threads fairly efficiently via mastodon, but I’m guessing you already know that.
