Summary

Millions of U.S. children have lost Medicaid coverage due to procedural issues during the unwinding process after the Covid public health emergency.

Families like the Quintanas and Wines face delays restoring coverage, leaving children with chronic conditions without essential care.

Colorado alone saw over 150,000 children lose coverage, and nationwide, over 5 million fewer children are enrolled in Medicaid since March 2023.

Advocates and health officials warn that lapses in preventative care and treatment could harm children’s long-term health, highlighting systemic issues in Medicaid’s eligibility and redetermination processes.

Hey, not to be a downer, but it sounds like maybe you didn’t get the memo about the importance your government places on your kids after Sandy Hook and Uvalde. I’ll summarize what you’re eligible for:

      • prayers

      That’s it.

We are already backsliding from doing it for children and the elderly. It is time we just stuck with healthcare for everyone and stopped making it any more complicated than that.

It just kills me knowing so many people just throw their hands in the air and just say “FUCK THOSE POOR KIDS”

What the fuck could be more important than the health of children?Jesus fucking christ
