Yeah, Firefox on mobile is great. It’s horrible if I have to use stock Chrome for anything, ads everywhere, layers of ads, fullscreen popups, the horror
I used it for 10+ years, since it was called fennec. Unfortunately on mobile Firefox chews through battery (might be something with hardware rendering, since it isn’t as smooth either). Across at least 5 devices.
A few years ago I switched to Samsung’s browser (based on chrome). Better battery, smoother scrolling, address bar at the bottom… good enough for me.

Just don’t use stock Chrome then.
For me it only opens if I have to click some Wifi portal confirmation.
