Visualize (picture, imagine, whatever you want to call it) a ball on a table. Now, imagine someone walks up to the table and gives the ball a push. What happens to the ball?
Not knowing what phantasia means, and therefore not realizing I have aphantasia, I would have said that I visualise because I interpreted it figuratively, not literally. Similarly, I only considered the essential details to claim that I visualise. I am able add various details to the concept without forming mental images.
How do you form mental images of objects, such as the shape of a table or the color of an apple when not given to you? For instance, one can understand the concept without needing to know those specific details. Do you experience mental images in color? Where are located your mental images (in front of you?)?
