I don’t quite get the family construct here:

Two teenage step-sisters were arrested in Pakistan’s Gujranwala, for allegedly setting their father on fire in revenge for rape

If they are step-sisters they can’t share a father, if they did that would make them half-sisters not step-sisters.

But aside from that, it sounds like a pretty solid plan they found there, easy enough for teenagers and apparently effective.
