I’m new to lemmy so I’ve been trying to find new communities to join with regards to socialist/leftist politics. I’ve discovered quite a few on lemmygrad but found that I don’t really align ideologically with many people on that instance. Are there any communities outside of lemmygrad that you guys really like and would suggest joining?

It’s not federated yet, but hexbear.net was worth making an account on. It’s a bit like the reddit chapotraphouse sub that got banned a few years ago.
