I’m definitely paying staying up late playing Elite Dangerous but the last exobiology sample made me sweat. Damn you bacteria!

On a positive note, I got three first footfalls confirmed in a row.

I guess I’ll be returning to the bubble this weekend and sell the exo data as well as refuel my two Scarabs (and repair one of those, because, yannow… I went full Dukes of Hazzard 😅 YYYEEEEHAW and such)

    Ooh, I should check it out again, been a while since I last played. I think it was at the time they released the larg thargoid malestorms, or what it was called? I wonder if Lavigni’s Legion still operates.

    I had fun with various Voice controlled 3rd party tools that give your ship a personality, I wonder if there are some powered by LLMs now.

      @[email protected] you definitely should check it out again, the Thargoid war is over now (no spoilers) and a new era is beginning :)

      I guess you’re talking about VoiceAttack, which sadly I cannot use playing on Linux, but everyone says it’s a great 3rd party tool

        I’ve switched to linux last year, which kind of made me loose my whole stack of EliteAttack with voicepacks and EDDiscovery and all other cool 3rd party tools that made the game way better, not even talking about not being able to play in VR. I guess I’d have to dualboot for that, when I was in Elite mood I gave up when I realized I won’t get VR working, didn’t even get to the other tools.

        But thanks, I’ll check it out.

            I tried ALVR and was having issues with it not connecting, or connection crashing, even though I never had any issue playing through regular Air Link on the same network setup. But that was almost a year ago, I’ll give it a try again.

    @[email protected] Last year as I played it once again I also flew outside of the bubble and did want to discover a earth like planet first.

    And I just did this so I wanted to get a elite status as an explorer but sadly lost interest. So right now I’m somewhere outside the bubble in an asteroid base.

    I did want to play with a friend of mine but sadly we weren’t able to commit on a time frame 😂

      @Xanatos should you be interested in flying a spaceship again, we created a Squadron at The Gamer’s Tavern called “SPACESHIP HAPPENS” [SHHP] and we play together from time to time, mostly bounty hunting in a private session group :)

      I try to alternate different activities (except PvP) so to not burn myself out 😅
      After getting some ranks I’ll probably go back to the bubble, bounty hunt a bit, mine, rinse and repeat

    @[email protected] As a reminder, you can synthesize SRV fuel (and repairs?) in the SRV’s right-hand panel if you have the materials. It’s a good idea to stock up on those materials before going on long expeditions. :)
