Garfield Re-2 School District is considering requiring its staff to notify parents if a student requests to use a chosen name at school that differs from their legal name and reflects their gender identity — a move that some community members support, while others worry it could further isolate transgender kids, and even put them at risk.

Kids, time to maliciously comply. If everyone changes therir name, you can drown that school in bullshit work.

If Richard is a boy and identifies as a boy, then the school district would need to notify the parents if he asks to be called Ricky. They would not need to do so if he asked to be called Elizabeth. So the malicious compliance could be done by the vast majority of students without embarrassment, if they were so inclined.

Even if they had to identify as the opposite gender, if everyone is doing it, and everyone knows the real reason, the embarrassment goes away.

There have been a number of schools that attempted to ban pants for the girls, and the boys will turn up to school in a borrowed skirt as a protest. Its happened multiple times.

So I have faith in the kids of today.
