    This is the actual painting of King Mansa Musa of Mali. The source is the Wikipedia article on him. Notice the dark skin.

    Either this guy photo edited the thing they posted and are lying, or someone else is and this guy fell for it.

        It’s extra funny when those 'muricans wouldn’t even consider geographical caucasians (people from current day Armenia, Azerbaijan) as “truly white”

    Well, lighter skin tones were often a trait of beauty, and I think it is also easier to paint. BTW that pharaoh doesn’t look quite white either.
