Are you kidding me?

President Donald Trump’s administration on Wednesday ordered a halt to New York City’s congestion pricing system, which thins traffic and funds mass transit by imposing high tolls on drivers entering some parts of Manhattan.

Launched on Jan. 5, the city’s system uses license plate readers to impose a $9 toll on most passenger cars entering Manhattan neighborhoods south of Central Park. In its early days, transit officials say the toll has brought modest but measurable traffic reductions.

The bridges and tunnels are where they collect the tolls for people coming into Manhattan. Also, on the ferries, which are also run by the Port Authority

Yeah, except the Mayor has committed a bunch of federal crimes and Trump is having them dismissed in exchange for his cooperation.

They’re being dismissed without prejudice so they can be refiled at any time.

It’s highly unlikely that the Mayor will do anything that’s not in Trump’s best interest for as long as he is in office.

Are you sure you’re not talking about the wrong toll? I haven’t been to NYC recently enough so don’t know how they implemented congestion tolls, but that’s different from the tunnel and bridge tolls.

All I can find online is “MTA installed license plate readers around the city”
