My mom has lived in Santa Fe for over 20 years, having also moved there after college and working at the capitol with a significant interlude in Phoenix.
He apparently lived off Hyde Park on the way up to the ski area. This is truly baffling, given carbon monoxide being ruled out. But we at least now get a Feb. 17 date of death.
At first I suspected a gas such as carbon monoxide, but that has been ruled out and local law enforcement are calling these deaths “suspicious”.
I wonder if he didn’t die and then she took a bunch of kills and killed herself and the dog died of dehydration.
Pure speculation of course, but the circumstances are pretty weird.
Dude was 95. An inclement winter could have caused his death.
That doesn’t so much explain his wife (30 years younger) and a dog also dying. Yes, it was cold that day, which I know because I shacked up with a friend here in Texas same day. But that’s not going to be how multiple people die in a mansion.
There were many animals. Only the one locked in a kennel died because the bodies were found many days later. So, her death is the pertinent mystery.
Problem was it wasn’t just him. He was found dead along with his wife and dog. It’s pretty crazy.
