Sucks about Cisco. I know they’re kind of a shit company to work with but I did enjoy working for them
Does anyone have suggestions for replacing Expedia? I’m planning a trip this summer and was going to use them for their package deals…
Neat. I’ve been unintentionally boycotting the priority targets for years now. I guess companies that support genocide also just make shitty products.
I don’t know why I even bother going into the comment sections of boycott posts. There’s only three types of comments. Smug “heh, I never shopped there anyway” comments, self-defeating “I’ll never shop there again even if they change” comments, or ‘boycotts don’t work, give up libs’ comments if you have some conservative trolls.
The “unintentionally boycotting” ones bother me because they are always the top comments and it’s not actually boycotting. You don’t show up as missing revenue because they support genocide and stopping that support won’t win you back. You might as well not exist to those companies. I’m happy you don’t have to deal with an HP laptop, but you weren’t boycotting them.
Fair point. Let’s add positively to the discussion then. An admittedly easy place to start is Google search. Here are some alternatives to try:
- Startpage
- DuckDuckGo (FYI partially uses Bing i.e., Microsoft)
- Ecosia
None of the above are perfect, but all are much better in terms of their impacts on others IMO.
Or I was already boycotting them anyway for being shit
Co-op is so much better than Chevron!
it’s still a us company, i know, but ive been using keurig dr pepper more as an alternative instead of coca cola ever since they became infatuated with trump.
Already been doing that for a while, don’t have to make any changes!
Genuinely never used any of them anyways.
