What weapon combination do you usually play? You could try the Live Puppet handle and a dagger on top for motivity scaling but faster attacks (at the cost of damage, sadly, but maybe easier to deal with overall)
Another funny thing I was made aware of for the fight: just use the special grindstone that auto-parries all attacks for a given amount of time. Never thought of doing that, but it’s actually genius - would have made the fight heaps easier
Oh I’m not interested in faster attacks. I’m interested in unga bunga, and Shot Put is but a means to an end. My grindstone is permanently on the stagger ATK buff.

It’s a godsend for motivity builds for sure. I’m not landing the charged heavy attack on the Nameless Puppet normally with a big slow hammer.
