For those who haven’t seen it before, the flag pictured is the Queerian flag! Queerians are primarily or exclusively attracted to other queer people. This can be an identity all it’s own or a modifier (i.e. queerian bisexual).
For me, I guess it comes with the territory of being nonbinary. It’s just hard to imagine someone who isn’t queer understanding the weirdness of my relationship to gender. Even though I tend to refer to myself as a woman, I would legitimately have an easier time being attracted to a gay man than a straight one. It doesn’t really make sense to me, but at least there’s a word for it 🤷♀️
As originally described, “Queerian” wouldn’t be exclusive to only genderqueer people, but it’s an obscure enough label as it is that I don’t think that having an additional nuance to explain changes anything 😅
A term that was specifically created to describe attraction to non-cis people, especially nonbinary and genderqueer people, would be Ceterosexual. https://lgbtqia.fandom.com/wiki/Ceterosexual#%3A~%3Atext=3+References-%2CEtymology%2Cinto+the+male%2Ffemale+binary.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!!
