Tesla has reversed its policy barring Cybertruck trade-ins. A Cybertruck owner says Tesla offered him $65,400 for his $100,00 truck with 6,200 miles. This means, according to Tesla, a Cybertruck loses $5.6 for every mile driven.

Since the odometer uses “predictive algorithms” to track mileage it’s probably WORSE than what they’re admitting here.

Goddamn imagine losing $100 of value for an ~18 mile trip to work and back everyday.

To be fair, it probably lost its value whether they drove it or not. 6000 miles is basically brand new from a mileage perspective.

So… its literally costlier to drive a cybertruck than a typical gas car???

    I like to measure dongs

    The BoltEV

this model was $32000 new (its what I paid for mine… same color and everything)

    $32000 - $10420 = $21,580 value lost

    $21,580 / 46,971mi = $0.459 lost per mile

And the Bolt EV ALL of them have a lemon warning (I think due to the battery… but GM made right on that)

$5 a mile? Any gas car can beat that.
