In most of the “free” world democracy is an illusion, you choose from people whos agenda always was to make rich friends and therefore money. Their branding, or what they call their “views” is simply chosen based on how they feel about their odds of getting elected.
This is what ripe democracy+capitalism works. The capital bought the political class and the political class upholds the illusion because feudalism didn’t hold up.
