Yup. Keep in mind that pretty much every voltage game is not voice acted. I think only “even if tempest” has voices of the voltage titles.

Kissed By the Baddest Bidder is fun though. Also important: most voltage titles are just mobile ports, which I think are “free to start”. I don’t play on mobile though so I just buy the switch titles.

I actually just finished even if Tempest! first Voltage game I’ve played so far!, Thanks for the reminder about the voice acting I had actually forgotten that! I know they are mobile games (I also don’t play mobile games) but I wanted to ask what exactly are the DLC do you have to buy them to complete the game or is the game complete and they are basically extras?

So the way the voltage switch ports work is that like other games you pay a flat fee to buy the game. This gets you a lot of content that would normally be microtransactions in the mobile version. Usually it’s up to some “completion” point (official relationship, marriage scene, etc). For some voltage titles, they then also release dlc you can buy for either content that was released after that point, or that’s “optional” content.

Out of the voltage games I’ve only played through kissed by the baddest bidder to near-completion. And I found the content to be sufficient. It’s what you usually expect from an otome game: hours of content for each route. Kissed by the baddest bidder then has extra dlc that are like little extra scenes and such I think, I didn’t buy the dlc though. You don’t need it to complete the game.

I have to wonder if this way of doing things may end up with some of their games feeling like they lack an ending? I haven’t played them all to confirm though, but I’m happy with what I’ve played so far.
