The BSDs have made quite a few innovations over the years. Many of them have not only made it to Linux, they have made it to Windows and MacOS as well. You might find this page on OpenBSD’s website quite interesting! :)

I was scrolling through to the list and found it interesting… but the page wouldn’t end! Lots of projects and utilities, some esoteric but many widely in use.
Yeah, its crazy to see some super fundamental libraries in there. These contributions have been huge for computing as a whole.
