Hermoso accused the Spanish federation of using “manipulation” to “intimidate” players. After the call-ups were announced, the players published a statement stressing the boycott remains in place and expressing their regret that they were again “put in a position in which we never wanted to be in” and intended to explore the potential legal implications of being called up against their wishes.
I pretty much expected the misogyny and empty promises.
What really flabbergasted me though was that they are supposed to travel to the match by train in tourist class? Imagine the men’s national team being asked to travel that way.
Train in Spain is really good though, specially High Speed train is top tier. I would force all to travel by train.

Yes, but then they should force really all, meaning the women’s and the men’s team. If they did that with the men’s team there would probably be an outcry.
I’m sure it is. But tourist class? You really think the men’s national team would travel tourist class?

This is so weird, it would be cheaper to rent a private bus. It feels vindictive.
