I don’t know what I’d call this movie but it was definitely insane. I’m glad that we’re still giving creators the budget to get reallll weird with it.
I love when directors just go for it. The whole movie is a crazy ride and I’m all for it.
I don’t expect everyone to like a movie that I love, especially one like this. That said, I hate how cynical so many people are in their view of this movie. So many people seem really quick and proud to say how pretentious and try-hard this movie is. I’ve never had a movie that had me simultaneously in such and anxious state and also literally crying laughing. I don’t think it was a perfect movie, but I loved it and wish other’s saw it that way.
I watched this last night, great film that seems to take place in a anxiety ridden mind. Really wild, I loved it.
That was the same take I had. We saw the world through Beaus mind.
I could have sworn the movie attempts hypnosis via low frequency noises repeated rhythmically during countdown to the play. Afterwards, a narrator gives you a number of anxiety-inducing scenarios and cartoon visualizations.
I could 100% see it.
