This contains important information regarding access to feddit.online, particularly for our users in the United Kingdom.

Effective yesterday, July 25, 2025, the UK’s Online Safety Act (OSA) came into force. This legislation has necessitated significant changes to how we can provide access to our platform for users in the United Kingdom, and these changes are now reflected in our updated Terms of Service at https://feddit.online/terms-of-service.

While Feddit.online does not host NSFW (Not Safe For Work) communities directly, we recognize that our members may encounter or link to such content on external platforms. Our existing Terms of Service require all users to be at least 16 years old.

However, the UK Online Safety Act broadly applies to internet services accessible from the UK, imposing stringent requirements on platforms that facilitate access to certain content, including pornography without regard to the number of users served by the service. Specifically, the law mandates that we implement highly effective age verification procedures and restrict access to such content for any UK user who cannot verify they are 18 years or older.

While it is not feasible for us to implement such a thing, even if we could, we would never implement such privacy-invasive actions.

Consequently, for as long as the UK Online Safety Act remains in effect, we regret that we are unable to permit users from the United Kingdom to access this instance. We have therefore implemented technical measures to prevent both new registrations and logins from UK IP addresses. We understand this news will be disappointing to our UK community members, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Finally, we’d like to address a common question regarding the use of VPN services. Feddit.online currently has no restrictions on accessing the platform via a VPN. Please note, however, that this policy does not constitute an endorsement or advocacy for individuals in the UK to circumvent their country’s laws. It is simply our policy from the beginning.
