But if I can articulate details about a person in language, I can remember that language. It’s got a poor accuracy rate, but is better than nothing. Usually it’s just remembering clothing, style, and hair.
So you can remember faces by features? “Blue eyes, red hair, mole on lip => Debby”? I can imagine that gets difficult, especially with relatively homogeneous cultural groups.
I’m kinda the opposite, I recognise faces, but because I can’t picture them, I can’t describe details unless I deliberately committed them to memory. Realised about 10 years in that I didn’t know my partners eye color.
Having sat down and read some more, I dont think I have prosopagnosia. I can’t picture her face, but I can recognise/remember people by their faces.
