i find it very useful and would like to know if there is an implementation for it on xfce, as well as how it performs.
Im pretty sure the app works everywhere but i think you need additional software for a status indicator
It does, and I’ve never seen kdeconnect-indicator packaged separately. I’m pretty sure it depends on some KDE packages though, so maybe OP wants to avoid installing them for some reason.
I use it for seeing/replying to texts on my desktop. It works great for that with xfce.
Gsconnect is the gnome version; I think that’s how I had it working on xfce
I used it on i3wm without problems. Just install and use it
KDE’s documentation mentions indicator-kdeconnect for using it with other environments, but it hasn’t been updated in 4 years. Might still work, might not.
