    Awesome world design, great music, and sufficient mod APIs. That plus everyone making mods somehow coming together and forming the critical mass to keep it going even through the periodic attempts to break everything and capture everyone in the “Creation Club” bullshit. I dunno if it has all that much to do with their ideas about player agency and quest design, admirable though those may be most of the time.
