    So people and organizations can’t realize that they’re wrong and change their opinions?

      Did UPenn apologize as part of their celebration? Because the first step to correcting a wrong is to apologize. If they didn’t then they didn’t actually come to the conclusion they were wrong and change, they simply took advantage of free publicity.

      Did you read the article? It pretty clearly lays out why they are getting the much deserved criticism. The self promotion using their name is why, not the congratulations.

      Also, even though things didn’t end on a positive note, the Nobel prize winning research was performed largely at Penn, in their lab and on their payroll.

      They might have treated her badly, but they still deserve credit.
