Yup, just recently started making the moves stop using gmail as my primary email. Long time coming.
Wish self-hosting email was more of a thing.

This must be opt-in for the Americas - being in Europe I was prompted this choice as unskippable, even for a throwaway I made two days ago.
Pretty scummy that disabling it gets rid of a bunch of default filters.
Ah, yes… I want AI trained on the nonsense the average user is typing to their friends… A step above texts, but still likely filled with poor grammar, misinformation, spelling mistakes, spam, and invites for a child’s birthday party.
GIGO, for what tasks do they think this new AI model will excel? Writing even more spam emails?
I personally use Gmail to receive spam and commercial messages, and redirect everything else to my self-hosted mail. Good luck training with mostly slop, Alphabet Incorporated
