Looked it up and it seems it’s all based on a eroge (which is a Japanese erotic video game, according to Wikipedia).
So it is an anime based on a porn game. Not sure that counts as your typical romance/drama anime that the original commenter was talking about, but maybe it counts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I went in blind, and it was a nice romance in the first half, not gonna lie.
