I just noticed that Lemmy does not federate Polls (nor probably Events, either) even to other instances that do understand them. (Here’s a post that explains this in more detail)
I’m considering requesting for a community run on Sopuli to be moved to some PieFed instance so that polls and events would be possible at least for users of instances that support those. But of course, if Sopuli has plans to move to PieFed (or Mbin, or anything that federates such posts onwards), there would be no point in that, as moving a community to another instance is very janky.
So, the question is: Is Sopuli planning to remain a Lemmy instance?
I asked this several months ago and was told no, there is not a plan to change software. I am still hopeful that decision changes.
And this decision still holds. Sopuli will stay as a Lemmy instance, yes!
