Just a simple run down of DistroWatch’s best distros of the year. Currently using Linux Mint Mate and I gotta agree with them that it’s pretty fucking great. Whats everyone’s favorite distro of 2025?

You get all the stability and predictability of Debian with a nice set of ClI tools and configuration utilities from DietPi team. I’ve been using them for 8 years (been donating too), other than an issue with a major Debian upgrade, I’ve had no issues.

I use a Debian stable ARM distro called DietPi; it’s perfect for aow touch DIY NAS/media server/Pi-Hole.
You get all the stability and predictability of Debian with a nice set of ClI tools and configuration utilities from DietPi team.
I’ve been using them for 8 years (been donating too), other than an issue with a major Debian upgrade, I’ve had no issues.
