It’s got really nice art, and good storytelling. “Library Mule” is historical fiction about the quest to save the remnants of Cordoba’s imperial library collection from the power-mad grand vizier, who wants to burn it all down and make the Qur’an the only acceptable written work. Nice little allegory about the dangers of Church bleeding in to State.

Library Mule is ~268pp, and I’m about halfway through as of this writing. I find that it waffles around here and there, and is a little bit dry in terms of subject matter, but is overall a quality BD with a certain ‘scholarly vibe.’ Sort of the antithesis to Prince of Persia, but in a way, it’s also a logical compliment to that series.
