Not sure what happened, but we’re suddenly inundated with compact phones for the first time in years.

Yes, we should take all of these with a grain of salt. Unihertz famously does not support their phones. Click has never made a phone before, though they seem to know what they’re doing. And iKKO… well, I’ll believe it when I see it.

But the fact that multiple companies are now racing to build smaller phones that AREN’T foldables is SO encouraging. Does it need a keyboard? Who knows! But the market should offer us a variety of form factors instead of just increasingly-larger phablets. It’s nice to see things go our way for a change.

I am also middle aged, 38, and I hate that I will have to give up the small size of my iPhone 12 mini for an iPhone 16/16e.

Though I hardly ever watch movies on my phone.

Though if I was on Android I would probably look into the fold as I love the concept

Same age and I recently bought literally the smallest Android phone I could find on my country’s major online retailer’s website (I would’ve supported a smaller business but I unfortunately needed the fastest possible shipping, which this retailer has). It’s still 6.36" and it’s more than big enough while not tearing a hole in my pocket (or my wallet) and it has everything I need.
