This is dumb. Right now, the LLM/agentic/generative circlejerk is in full swing, largely due to the VC and PE dipshits are throwing money at it, because they, as a class of “professionals”, fell for the snake oil pitch hook, line, and sinker.
There will be a correction. It will likely crash the economies of a LOT of countries - definitely the US, considering something like 30+% of our economy is apparently tied up in that house of cards. But as a competent engineer, I’m not too worried, because I’ll be charging top dollar to un-fuck people’s vibe-codebases after the crash.
It’s looking like the everything-bubble (AI is one symptom, not the bubble) is going to take the US economy down with it, and so every country in the world to the extent that they are interconnected with the US. What, even with Trump is always a lot.
So be worried, because for a while nobody will have money to pay you to unfuck their software.
