But Iranians are not happy to see their families missing, to be left to the chaos of another American Middle East invasion destroying their country and causing decades of suffering and conflict.
This invasion is a travesty, the silver lining is not worth it.

Go talk to some Iranians and ask them how they feel about the Shah or ending up like their neighbours once the US loses interest and pulls out after destabilising everything.
Iranians seem pretty interested in having those clips shown. I have followed this conflict on/off for for some time and every Iranian whi gets to have a voice has said they want to be free from the regime.
It is definitely unfortunate that civilians have lost their lives during this invasion, but don’t pretend like that wasn’t already the case on the regular for the Iranian under the regime. It’s actually been pretty prominent in the news recently that they more or less were committing a genocide on the people of Iran as a punishment for the uprising. Whatever lives are lost during this war will be nothing next to the numbers of murders the regime has committed against the people of Iran since the 70s.
And that is not me saying that the lives lost right now don’t matter or that it’s okay when Israel or the US do it. I’m just trying to remind you that these people have lived in fear and horror for 50+ years and they want it to stop.
And btw, are you really doing the “fake news” argument? Really? Just because you don’t like the fact that the vast majority of Iranians are happy their oppressor is dead? They are happy. They are definitely also sad for innocent lives lost, but they are happy to finally have a chance to be free. Deal with it.

It’s not black and white. All I’m saying is that there definitely are Iranians who are celebrating the fall of their dictator and that they are hoping for a brighter future on the other end of this. That does not mean that the US and Israel are heroes nor that their goal is to save Iranians. All I’m saying is that many Iranians are happy their oppressor is dead. That is just as real as their sorrow for the innocent lives who will be lost in this war.
