I’m posting from Memmy for Lemmy on iOS, but flip between it and Mlem as they out-update each other. Glorious days, these are.
I’m using Memmy, Mlem, Liftoff, Thunder and wefwef lmao
Just commented the same lol they seem to be missing complimentary features at the moment. Memmy would be good if I could figure out how to see my subscribed communities and go directly to a community. Not sure if that feature is missing or buried. Mlem was a lot worse a week ago but now the only problem I’m having is I can’t get back to a post I’ve commented on if I get a reply. If that gets fixed, I’ll be happy with Mlem. Both are probably going to be great but I came from Apollo.
Hey, I can help with the direct to community issue! It’s just like Apollo was. When you’re in “All”, just click on that in the top center and you can enter your community name. Some will auto populate.
Christ… nope, that’s Mlem. My bad.
The “Traverse” tab shows your subscriptions if I’m not mistaken. Honestly it should just be called the subscriptions tab because I’ve seen two people confused about this today.
I see them in traverse now. Before, it seemed to only have one or two random communities even though I’m subscribed to dozens so I thought it was just some in development discovery thing. That’s neat, thanks.
No problem!

You aren’t wrong…
Memmy and WefWef mainly on iOS.
I’ll add that Mlem is pretty awesome too.
Liftoff. I tried the rest but Liftoff seems the best.
Tried quite a few and enjoying WefWef the most right now, gets updates frequently too. It’s a cross platform progressive web app and good ones are rare to see. https://wefwef.app/
WefW
The frequency of updates is insane. Multiple updates a day at the moment lol. Still, I kinda miss Sync. I’m hyped for that.
I’ve fallen in love with Memmy but gosh damn, if wefwef isn’t updated even more frequently than Yuzu EA
The fact is wefwef is very very barebones. No options for setting are implemented yet and it doe not even have an option to block users and communities.
Fair enough, the question was just about reading posts though.
yes, I know, but sometimes there are things or subjects from someone or some community you don’t want to read about. That’s where blocking comes into play. You can concentrate on what you want to read most by eliminating distractions.
But I do respect your opinion on WefWef. As a matter of fact, if the time comes that wefewef(voyager) becomes fully featured, I may make it my main way of browsing lemmy as I do also like it’s UI and responsiveness…
Lemmy Connect
Currently I use Jerboa first, but if that doesn’t work I switch to Connect, then Wefwef then just a web browser. All to wait for Sync for Lemmy to release.
So happy to see that so many sync users actually made the switch from Reddit, I was unsure if I’d just be one of a few, bit it seems like a ton of us jumped over.
Oh yeah, the Sync for Lemmy communities are hopping. I thought the same as you since most people talk about Boost or RIF or whatnot. Glad to see a lot of us are still supporting ljdawson
Wefwef.app I’m really enjoying it too
It’s so Apollo’ish!
Wefwef is IOS app that work in Android. :)
jerboa when it feels like working but as soon as sync releases I’m switching over
Have you tried Liftoff?
This, I had been a sync user for the past decade. Will immediately install sync for lemmy when it releases. Likely the pro/ultimate as well once available.
Same, eagerly awaiting.
Right now my main app is Liftoff, with Jerboa being a very close second.
What is it about liftoff that you like Vs the other apps that are in TestFlight
Tried most I could find on github and the playstore, and liftoff was the first that kinda ticked all the boxes. Only thing I’m missing is an option to view all account at once, with a filter for duplicated subscription posts.
I like the ability to navigate by swiping, and also Liftoff handles images better than any of the other apps. There’s a slight loading delay on Connect and Jerboa, whereas in Liftoff, the image opens right away and you can easily swipe it away to close it.
Jerboa
I’m using Jerboa right now. When I’m on my laptop I use Firefox.
Same
Same same

I’ve also been using your eyes, usually
Currently using wefwef, but I’m waiting to try the others that are available for iOS once they get out of the TestFlight stage.
FYI Memmy is on the App Store now. It’s a slightly outdated version but there should be an update for that any day now.
Oh great! I’ll have to check it out!
Android user here, i use Jerboa 🙋♂️
Desktop browser. Firefox more specifically.
