Since my first post had some nice feedback, I feel encouraged to post more of the stuff on my phone

Once had a friend stay the night to help me prepare a fuck ton of food for a party the next day. He had the audacity to criticize me for spending a bunch of time doing the dishes afterwards instead of gaming. I was like wtf do you expect me to do? Have guests over the next day with dishes in the sink?

I came to learn that yes, this is in fact a thing people don’t care about; which is fine. You do you but also don’t judge my cleaning habits lol. He’s an amazing friend but that moment will always stick with me.

I’d rather wash a lot of dishes a few times a day than wash a few dishes many times a day. It’d just feel like I’m constantly washing the dishes.

Let me elaborate for all those adulting experts out there: I have just eaten. I am feeling nice and fed. I am maybe even a bit sleepy, in a good way. I am trying to stay in that place. I am not getting up and doing the dishes right now just so future me has an easier time, that bitch can get fucked.

I only do it immediately when I have very few dishes. Like for breakfast I only use a knife, a spoon and a bowl, that gets washed immediately, or a plate and a knife for lunch. When I’ve cooked with multiple pans for dinner, I’ll do it the next day. But it’s still nice that there’s no pile-up of dishes for those little things, and it takes 30 seconds, so why not.
