I’m a muslim and I do not mean any disrespect but I want to know what book gives you spiritual guidance and inner-peace when going through a difficult time or dealing with trauma? Or do you just apathetically ignore everything and never take it seriously because life doesn’t matter anymore …
P.S. A couple of my online friends who are -agnostic/atheist- recommended I read a novel called “The Stranger” by Albert Camus it was about absurdism and the meaninglessness of life … I really thought it was one of the best books I’ve ever read and the ending was really sad yet powerful and written in such wistful beauty✨

My advice would be to seek professional help, psychologists. They can guide you through trauma, grief, …
I’m in therapy myself for trauma and it helps me keeping myself alive.
Although I see myself as a non or bad Muslim, (still figuring it out) weirdly I believe there is still something bigger than us. But I don’t believe in organised religion. I’m tired of men making the decisions and not living my life but being lived by others.
In my worsts moments, my first reaction was to pray. Now, I try to rationalize everything that’s happening or figure out why it’s happening and it helps. If there is a God (probably there is something out there) I don’t think he cares much about us or he’s really busy. So we have to help ourselves.
