Personally as cool as screen call is, if it’s a real person and a telemarketer, then they just hang up as soon as they realize they’re listening to a glorified voicemail.

I like that I don’t have to talk to them, but it still wastes my time.

It’s a nice idea. But a call is never urgent.

A text followed by a phone call is urgent.

But a call by itself? Never urgent

Update: obviously this is in the context of cell phones, not emergency contact numbers.

I can’t speak for everyone else’s experiences, but I never get phone calls. If somebody really needs to contact me they’re going to message me through an app, or worst case call me through an app like signal. Phone calls simply are not used anymore among the people I interact with

Yeah 911 operators famously always ask “mhmm, and did you use our text line before calling?”

911 operators also, famously, don’t use Google voice assistant on their incoming calls

Of course not, those aren’t important enough. They probably make the voice assistant reply to texts instead, that’s where it’ll find the real emergencies.

Interesting take. Personally, a straight phone call from someone I know has almost always been urgent. A message followed by a call is somewhat less urgent. A message for low priority.
