No hun, it’s not “another unfinished project”, it’s a failed branch prediction and I think we can all agree that the benefits of speculative execution far outweigh the occasional waste of effort.
I actually unironically agree with this. One of the best coping methods I’ve found for my ADHD and autism is to give myself room to “play” within hobbies, which means having an array of unfinished projects.
Part of the letting myself do it is trying to make the projects things that I will be able to come back to in a few months time, and what this means is that I can hyperfocus on an area and make it my life for a while, then cycle onto a new thing when I get bored.
There’s still a sizeable “project attrition rate” where projects remain unfinished indefinitely, but I’m completing a lot more than I was before by leaning into this slightly hectic way of doing this.
