Feels like it’s been over since Adam Reed stopped being the driving force behind the show. He was the primary writer up through Archer: 1999 (the space coma season) but then after that it’s a bunch of staff writers keeping the show afloat.
I didn’t realize how long Reed had been contributing before he gave it up, I thought he had called it quits by the coma seasons starting, but he was an integral part of the writing of all of those seasons.
I kinda tuned out when the coma seasons started. I found that after Archer Vice, with the focus on more serialized storytelling, somehow fell flat for me. The series then continued to be heavily serialized with season-long arcs and I find that started to weaken the show.

Archer vice was great but to me it was lost it’s mojo after that. Haven’t caught the recent few though.
