    This story doesn’t add up.

The Transportation Department’s inspector general says Dunn, who was the first officer or co-pilot, threatened to shoot the captain after a disagreement over diverting the flight to take care of a passenger with a medical issue.

So co-pilot said that a passenger has a medical issue, and the captain said no turning back.

And co-pilot said, turn back or I’ll shoot you.

There seems to be a lot missing here.

Imagine 1500 hours of training just to do this and throw it all way. You were flying for DELTA. It’s the best major to fly for

Mental health issues don’t discriminate and we don’t do nearly enough to destigmatize looking for help. It’s the only explanation that makes any sense.

Not to mention…they look for help from the wrong person they get fired. They look for help from the other wrong people and at best it’s ineffective.

I get that they don’t discriminate, but that’s what your AME is for. The FAA is really, really bad about mental health but you can get it done. I’ve never had to get or renew a class 1 medical, but AMEs do try to work with you. It might be two years of paperwork, but they will help you get it done.

Yeah because they’ll actually suffer financial hardship if they don’t rectify the situation.

        Police, not so much.

"Stop protesting us because 4 planes crashed this year, if anything you should be happy, we are down from our annual 10 crashes per year. Anyone who wants us to have higher training standards is obviously not aware of our rigorous anti crashing policy, it barley happens! "
