    I hate this soo much. More and more people are being told they don’t look good without all these fuckin products, even it negatively affects them. Fuckin these marketing bastards and the influencers that keep adding fuel to the fire.

    Doesn’t seem as bad as it seems from the headline. Taking care of your skin isn’t a bad thing. Moreover it notes there’s an uptick in skin care emphasis in Gen X and Millennials as well.

    If that includes sunscreen, then I’m all for it. People like to look good and healthy. Every generation has always been self-conscious about appearance because it’s innate to life from relationships to projecting physical health.

    Whether it’s social media or going to public school, the insecurities remain the same. The difference is that these younger generations are being targeted earlier by marketing when the youth of previous generations weren’t as reachable.

    They have to get their skin regimen down so they look good on social media when they’re wasting away from anorexia.
