I am attempting to archive/amalgamate organise all my tv shows. I have 12 hard drives and have difficulty trying to accurately find out which shows are definitive ongoing or cancelled.

What are the best suggestions for accurate up-to-date shows that are cancelled or ongoing? this would make it so much easier.

have difficulty trying to accurately find out which shows are definitive ongoing or cancelled.

Especially over the last few years that tends to change a lot more often than it used to. Cancelled shows get brought back, sometimes by the same network, often by a different network. It is legit hard to keep up with, and I doubt there is a 100% reliable source at any given time. That said, I use next-episode.net which mostly pulls info from thetvdb.com It usually gets updated quickly enough that I don’t miss too much, but it’s by no means 100% accurate.

Plex is great for this, especially because it automatically updates your library when you add stuff; plus, it keeps track of where you’re up to in a series and what you’ve already watched.

I similarly look for a solution to that. Something where I simply can get an RSS feed for each show I want to track would be perfect (similar like tvkingdom.jp for Japanese TV shows).

I used to have a widget for the old OS X Dashboard once upon a time (the Dashboard, the widget, and the site/service it was using… all R.I.P.) that did the job for me. Yikes, I miss that!
